Mermaids! Smugglers! A Castle! It’s not a fairytale it’s the very real and slightly wonky Rye! But what it lacks in application of a spirit level, it more than makes up for in delightful streets, cosy pubs and restaurants and hidden nooks and crannies. Did we get a bit tipsy on margaritas and wear sombreros at Los Gringos during our planning trip? There’s a strong possibility. It may not be on the coast any more but it’s still a lovely day out.
