Frequently Asked Questions

What age group are X Hunts aimed at?

X Hunts are aimed at adults but that doesn’t mean children can’t join in, we’d just recommend there’s at least one adult in the group. Children can be particularly good at spotting things, then the adults can solve the riddle or work out the code!

Do I need to book?

No you don’t need to book as all hunts are self guided using the provided map to complete whenever you like, in as many stages as you like!

In addition to that, you can do them in any order so you don’t have to walk to the other side of town to start and if you’re the competitive sort, multiple copies can be used and then teams set off in different directions.

What time should I do the hunt?

You can do hunts at any time, but given that some places close at dusk, we’d recommend having enough daylight to complete the hunt. Plus the earlier you finish, the more time in the pub!

Is my hunt still in date?

Our hunts don’t have an expiry date and we design them with as much longevity as possible in mind, but we recommend completing them as close as possible to purchase to mitigate this.

Why haven’t I received my order?

We post all orders by Royal Mail first class either on the day of order or next working day (depending on time of order). They usually arrive within two working days, but this can be delayed at busy times. Get in touch if you’d like any information about your specific order.

What happens if I can’t answer a clue?

If you can’t answer a clue for whatever reason don’t stress! The final quote is in plain English so if you’re missing a couple of letters you should be able to fill in the blanks. If you’re a completer-finisher like me and still want to know the answer, get in touch with us.

Are the routes dog friendly?

As everything is outdoors, generally yes, but it’s subjective depending on the dog who’ll you know best. We also can’t answer for any specific pit stops like pubs or cafes you may want to visit so always best to do your own research before you set off.
